Israeli thrashers Sinnery to perform at Rockstadt Extreme Fest (RO), new video "The Burning" out now22/6/2022 Israeli thrashers Sinnery will be embarking on their first performance at Rockstadt Extreme Fest in Romania on Friday, August 5th at 3 pm local time on the Brasov Stage, sharing that day's lineup with Lamb of God, Overkill, UADA, Kataklysm, Necrophobic, In Mourning and more. "We are beyond excited to get to play Rockstadt Extreme Fest this year! It'll be absolutely incredible to perform on the stage with so many legends on the same bill. This will be our first show in Romania and we can't wait to see you all there!." adds the band. Full details on the festival and its lineup from August 3rd to 7th can be found at https://www.rockstadtextremefest.com. Sinnery will be unleashing their much anticipated new record “Black Bile”, six years after their debut. In the time since then, they have melted more influences into their sound, and morphed from a predominantly thrash sound to something darker, and heavier. Swept up with melodic breaks amidst the gutturals, they wrap their music in modern layers. The album contains ten tracks; recently they shared the first single, “The Burning” with a new music video, which can be seen and heard at https://youtu.be/1U6_y-SDR7M Single digital pre-save - http://burning.sinneryband.com “The Burning'' is probably the most popular song with the fans even before it comes out, the fans chant “God bless the human race” on every show so it was a no-brainer picking it out to be the first single off of the album. It is an upbeat thrash song with many heavy and groovy moments. It was perfect for the beginning of the album, to start with a bang, with no introductions or orchestral intros just straight-up metal from the get-go. Lyrically the song’s full name was The Burning of Mt. Sinai and so it’s easy to know this song is an anti-religious song, coming from Israel, religion is a big part of the atmosphere where we grew up, and we are not very fond of those establishments that are more about power and money than the lessons in those books they sell.” adds the band. Coming at the listener fast and hard is the name of the game for Sinnery. They infuse their music with real true emotions and messages, nothing about it is made up, it’s all very personal and they really dug into the deepest, darkest parts of themselves to write this album. They anticipate that it’ll be received well and expect that listeners will find that sense of realness in it amidst relentless riffs and catchy melodies. “Black Bile” is fast and full of energy, making it the perfect record to spin when getting amped up. Whether it's for driving fast, headbanging, or hitting the gym, this is a wickedly fun album to listen to. Sinnery is recommended listening for fans of Gojira, Testament, and The Haunted. “Black Bile” will be released on September 16, 2022 via Exitus Stratagem Records.

Get ready for another taste of the waste! Richmond's hard-charging, thrash metal maniacs Municipal Waste have revealed the blistering second single, "High Speed Steel," from their massively-anticipated 7th studio album, "Electrified Brain," that's due out July 1st via Nuclear Blast. Commenting on the single, guitarist Ryan Waste says: “High Speed Steel is our ode to an era when heavy metal was transitioning into a faster form. We pushed the limits of our sound to channel that classic dynamic and keep the intensity high. It’s about overcoming the pressure and slicing down the odds when everything is stacked against you.”

Band statement: "We are super excited to finally be able to release our debut album and to begin working with Wormholedeath records. We have tried to blend the energy and rawness of many old school thrash metal bands such as Exodus, Stone and Megadeth, with influences from various metal subgenres, such as death metal. Many of the songs on this album feature fast riffs, heavy breakdowns and plenty of guitar solos." Hexing was formed in East Helsinki at the beginning of 2021 under the name Salem by Riku Siisiäinen, Ossi Kylliäinen and Mio Asimont. Ben Kejonen and Daniel Gamache joined shortly after and the band began working on new material right away. The name Salem was later changed to Hexing before the band's first concert. After playing multiple concerts in the fall Daniel Gamache decided to leave the band before the album was recorded and he was replaced by Tuure Suomalainen, who recorded many of the guitar solos featured on Welcome to Salem. In spring and summer, Hexing performs in Finland. Sometime later, Hexing also heads to other parts of Europe. Have a nice summer! Line up:
Spanish thrash metal band, Reaktion, have released a music video for 'To Expect Nothing', it's the title track from their third album, which was released in June 2021. With their latest album, entitled “To Expect Nothing”, Barcelona-based thrash metal band Reaktion completes what they have called “The Existence Trilogy”, after “Blackmailed Existence” (2016) and “Learning to Die” (2019). All the albums have been recorded, mixed and master at Axtudio, one of the most important metal studios in Catalonia. The trilogy, or “thrashology” as they like to call it, consists of three parts: the first record talks about the idea of the death as something that has to happen. The second one, the second album, is based on, since we all have to die, how we can approach life. The last part, “To Expect Nothing” (2021), calls for a life of acceptance and stoicism. 'To Expect Nothing' was recorded, mixed and mastered at Axtudio (Barcelona, Spain). Reaktion was formed in 2014 in Barcelona and is one of the most important thrash metal bands in Spain. They have toured Spain and Portugal several times, supporting Brazilian thrash metal band Nervosa and twice the classic German speed metal band SDI. They have played in many festivals including Vagos in Portugal, and their last gig was in Madrid supporting Artillery.
Heavy is as heavy does. The time is now... Murdersome is upon us. Murdersome is a heavy-as all-hell-thrash metal band hailing from Richmond, Virginia. Featuring current and former members of bands such as Alabama Thunderpussy, He-Wolf, Short Bus Pile Up, Appalling, Humungus, Disrotter, M.S.D., and Hypokalypse, Murdersome combines monstrous song writing with devastating musicianship. And what better way to be introduced to them than this sick AF playthrough video of their song “Face To Forget” off of their forthcoming full-length debut, Carnal Death (release date and label to be announced soon).
The video for "Face To Forget" was shot and edited by Misery Index guitarist, Chris Joao (Iron Elephant Studio), and assisted by Cody Bowen (guitarist of Integrity). Solidity have released their second album, “Evolution of Prodigality”, which features complex and melodic riffs, but modern, progressive parts and electronic elements play a much bigger role than ever before. These ingredients actually play a very well thought role in the music due to the album’s semi-conceptual nature. On top of that, lead singer Attila also combines his melodic voice with deep growls, giving a unique listening experience to all lovers of the genre. The album contains 8 new songs and 3 bonus tracks. Strongly recommended to the fans of Opeth, Scar Symmetry, Nevermore, and Sybreed!
Lead singer Attila Kovács commented: “Our first single, “Fake Sunrise” is memorable, easy to take in, and at the same time eclectic enough to introduce the listener to most of the elements you can hear on the album. The intro is followed by cynical lyrics, and melodies to enhance this message; then we immediately guide the listener into heavier, darker territories for a few seconds to which only the arc of the chorus brings some solace. Then the roller coaster starts again with no chance to drop out!” Guitarist, songwriter, lyricist László Triesz commented: “The song is about religious fanaticism, and of those who are completely blinded by their faith, as it slowly takes over their lives.” 1. Follow the band on Facebook: Solidity | Facebook - facebook.com/solidityband Frantic aggressive metal reflecting the outcry of the Iranian youth, Padra’s Farsi lyrics are a call back to the original essence of Thrash Metal. Padra vocalist / guitarist Ramtin Dashti had this to say about "Jabr", their latest creative effort: "'The literal meaning of the word Jabr is “Algebra”, but in Persian culture as well as the Persian language it’s the antonym of “Free Will” and is considered to be a power above “Free Will” and ultimately used to control mankind. The Jabr that we have to contend with in Iran our whole lives is the sheer domination of retrogressive and traditional ideals in favour of the young generation’s progressive ideals. We tried to convey this concept in our artwork and in the song we aimed to blend aggressive melodic music with Persian lyrics and remind our fans of our old style of song writing.'"
Founded in 2010, the band initially started as an experimental project, implementing Farsi lyrics alongside various metal subgenres. Since then, the band has released two albums and four singles, and throughout their journey, it has evolved to become one of the more mainstream acts of the Iranian metal scene. Their Farsi lyrics mirror the Iranian youth’s genre of preference, Persian Rap, and is why Padra can appeal to many Iranians and has landed them a loyal following in Iran. A following that travelled from all corners of Iran to see the band’s two live performances in 2016 ensured that those live shows became two of the most memorable live experiences of the Iranian metal scene. The band is never afraid to get political with their lyrics, which closely resembles Persian rappers. In addition, they also incorporate horror and existentialistic elements in their songs. Fans of bands such as Kreator and Testament will recognize Padra’s use of old school thrash metal and melodic death metal elements and their modern production approach. Their style of ferocious metal perfectly augments the message the band tries to convey, revolt and disobeying against retrogression. In 2021, after moving to Istanbul, Turkey Padra signed with the first Iranian Metal label, Tough Sounds, to deliver the outcry of Iran’s youth to the ears of the international metal community with their future singles in 2022. Now, the band has revealed the shocking cover artwork by James Bousema, track listing and the deadly single "Grave Dive." Stream "Grave Dive" Single: https://municipalwaste.bfan.link/grave-dive "Electrified Brain" marks Municipal Waste's first album in 5 years, following the release of their critically exalted 2017 record "Slime and Punishment." And don't think they've slowed down in the years since. “We’re not writing any love ballads to sell records,” affirms vocalist Tony Foresta. “We’re just doing what we’ve always done since the band started—and that’s try to write loud, fast, and ripping hardcore punk metal. We hope you walk away with some bloody ears, blown speakers, pissed off parents, black eyes, and a healthy distrust of authority.” Recorded in Philadelphia with producer Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Code Orange), "Electrified Brain" is a high-voltage non-stop masterclass of neck-snapping thrash that'd be the ideal soundtrack for high-speed car chases and backyard steel cage matches as witnessed on the new track "Grave Dive." “It’s in the vein of songs like ‘Headbanger Face Rip’ and ‘Wave of Death’,” Tony notes. “It’s an inspirational song for our fans to cause bodily harm to themselves, but in a loud and healthy way, of course.”
Municipal Waste maintain course as vicious and vital as ever on 2022’s Electrified Brain [Nuclear Blast] as heard on tracks like "Grave Dive," "High Speed Steel" and "Crank The Heat." Recorded during the pandemic in Philadelphia with producer Arthur Rizk [Power Trip, Code Orange], the sessions would be the first time the band reunited in person after a year. Together, they achieved “a thicker and heavier sound.” In the end, "Electrified Brain" will give you everything you’d want from a Municipal Waste record or heavy metal record, period. “We hope you walk away with some bloody ears, blown speakers, pissed off parents, black eyes, and a healthy distrust of authority,” says Tony. https://www.facebook.com/Municipalwaste Greek powerhouse Suicidal Angels are happy to announce their return to the Nuclear Blast family, after over a decade. The band around mastermind Nick Melissourgos has been busy lately with writing the new album and is now ready to hit the studio in Athens in April. The band comments on the signing news: "Through the weirdest of times, we didn’t lay low, we didn’t lay back and wait. With hard work, a never-ending passion for what we love to do, we reach the point where we can share some amazing news with you. After a dozen years, we are in the same exciting position, as in the past, to announce our return to Nuclear Blast. We renewed our vows and we are about to take the bull by the horns and do what we know best! Keep your eyes and ears open, more is yet to come. No matter what, onwards, always!” Jaap Wagemaker, A&R Nuclear Blast continues: "Nuclear Blast proudly presents the signing of Greek thrashers Suicidal Angels! Already back in 2009, we released their album Sanctify The Darkness! After that, the band worked very hard building up their name across Europe releasing very strong albums like Dead Again, Bloodbath, Division of Blood, and especially their last album Years of Aggression which secured the band their highest charts entries in Germany, Austria, and Swiss. Live the band worked very hard on becoming a force to be reckoned with which they clearly showed at their tours with Satyricon and several thrash packages and their shows at some big festivals across Europe. The band has used their downtime during the pandemic really well and is ready to go into the studio again to record their 8th album and is hungry to confirm that they are one of the best Thrash bands in Europe! Although the band was founded in 2001 and they just celebrated their 20th anniversary the band is still young and with re-signing to Nuclear Blast the band is ready to go to the next level!" Line up:
